We are seeking a Head Teacher to work alongside our fantastic team of teachers and Director to further our vision. Under the supervision of the Director of Gnomie’s Preschool, the Head Teacher is responsible for creating a safe, consistent, creative, hands-on learning environment that is centered around the children, coordinating curriculum and staff development, supervising and coaching teaching staff, and communicating with parents and the community as a whole.
A minimum of 24 units completed in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or Child Development (CD), including core courses (Core courses include: 3 units Child/Human Growth and Development, 3 units Child/Family/Community and 3 units Programs/Curriculum) + 6 specialization units + 2 units in Adult Supervision. Additionally, 350 days of 3+ hours per day work experience within the last 4 years in the early education field is required. Alternatively, a BA or higher (the field of ECE/CD not required) with 12 ECE/CD units + 3 units in supervised field experience in an ECE/CD setting accepted.
Must successfully clear a criminal/ livescan background check (without exemption) and health screening, including a TB test, and First Aid and CPR certification.

We are seeking a Teacher's Aide to work in our inclusive, supportive and collaborative environment.This position requires a minimum of 12 completed units in child development or early childhood education, including core courses. Core courses include: 3 units Child/Human Growth and Development, 3 units Child/Family/Community and 3 units Programs/Curriculum. Must possess or qualify for a Child Development Associate Teacher Permit issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing within the first 6 months of employment. Must have 50 days of 3+hours/day work experience within 2 years.
